Swelling in the face, ankles, and wrists is common after birth due to fluid retention and hormonal changes. Lymphatic massage is a gentle, effective way to reduce this swelling, support circulation, and promote overall recovery.

For women healing from a C-section, lymphatic massage (once cleared by your provider) can help reduce abdominal swelling, improve circulation, and support scar healing, without applying pressure directly on the incision.

Breastfeeding mothers may also benefit. Gentle massage around the chest can ease shoulder tension, support lymph flow, and help relieve engorgement or clogged ducts.

Other benefits include reduced muscle relaxation, and improved sleep, much needed during the postpartum period.

Avoid lymphatic massage if you have a fever, infection, low blood pressure, thrombosis, or unexplained skin changes. Always check with your midwife or doctor before beginning, especially after a C-section or if managing a health condition.
